As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations of our organization and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Responsibilities: Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance. Monitor key financial indicators and identify trends or issues for management attention. General Accounting: Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations. Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. Review and approve journal entries and expense reports. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide analysis of variances. Support management in financial planning and decision-making processes. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. Prepare and file various tax returns, such as GST, TDS, and income tax. Liaise with external tax advisors as needed for tax planning and audits. Audit and Internal Controls: Assist in the coordination of external audits and ensure timely completion. Develop and implement internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and maintain compliance with policies. Identify areas for process improvement and recommend and implement necessary changes. Team Management and Leadership: Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for professional development. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the accounting team. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven work experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Knowledge of tax laws and compliance requirements. Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
