Job Description : Job Title: Senior Accountant Company: Ravi Furnishing Pvt Ltd Location: Kolkata, India Annual CTC: 2.4 Lakhs Ravi Furnishing Pvt Ltd, a reputable and fast-growing company in the home furnishing industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Kolkata. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This is a key position that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage the general ledger and ensure proper recording of all financial transactions. Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, industry standards, and relevant laws and regulations. Prepare and submit tax returns, including GST, TDS, and income tax filings, and assist in handling tax audits. Monitor and analyze financial performance indicators, such as profitability ratios, liquidity ratios, and variances from budget. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to management. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud. Collaborate with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities as required. Train and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support when needed. Stay updated on accounting and financial reporting standards and communicate changes to the team. Participate in special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as assigned by management. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior position. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations. Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel. Familiarity with Tally or other accounting software is preferred. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other tax regulations is required. Experience in the retail or manufacturing industry is a plus. Professional certifications such as CA/ICWA/CS (Inter) are preferred.
