Chatter Accountant

About the role

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting:

   • Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
   • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

   • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
   • Monitor budget variances and provide recommendations for cost control.

3. Tax Compliance:

   • Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants for timely filing of tax returns.
   • Stay updated on tax regulations and ensure compliance with applicable laws.

4. Financial Analysis:

   • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
   • Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial analysis.

5. Internal Controls:

   • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
   • Review and improve accounting processes and procedures for efficiency and accuracy.

6. Cash Flow Management:

   • Monitor cash flow projections and liquidity requirements.
   • Optimize cash management strategies to ensure sufficient funds for operational needs.

7. Audit Support:

   • Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
   • Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as required.

8. Compliance:

   • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
   • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

9. Team Collaboration:

   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.
   • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
2. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
