Responsibilities: Student Placement Support: Assist students in identifying suitable internship or job placement opportunities based on their academic programs and career aspirations. Provide guidance and resources to help students develop their resumes, cover letters, and interview skills. Conduct mock interviews and offer feedback to prepare students for real-world job interviews. Offer career counseling and advice to students, helping them explore career paths and make informed decisions. Employer Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with employers, industry professionals, and organizations to create a network of placement opportunities. Collaborate with employers to understand their workforce needs and match them with qualified students. Promote the benefits of hiring students from our institution and build partnerships with local businesses and industry leaders. Organize career fairs, industry-specific events, and networking opportunities to connect students with potential employers. Placement Process Management: Design and implement efficient processes for managing student placements, including application tracking, documentation, and compliance. Coordinate with academic departments to align internship and job requirements with curriculum objectives. Maintain accurate records and databases of student placement activities, ensuring confidentiality and data security. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of placement programs, collecting feedback from students, employers, and faculty members to drive continuous improvement. Program Promotion and Outreach: Develop marketing materials, such as brochures, newsletters, and social media campaigns, to raise awareness about placement opportunities and successes. Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance the visibility of placement programs within the local and regional communities. Conduct presentations and workshops to educate students, faculty, and parents about the benefits and processes of the placement program. Industry Trends and Professional Development: Stay updated on industry trends, labor market demands, and changes in employment legislation to provide relevant and accurate career advice. Attend professional development workshops, conferences, and seminars to enhance knowledge and skills related to career services and placement. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Career Development, Human Resources, Education) is required. A Master's degree is a plus. Proven experience in career services, student advising, or related roles, preferably in an educational institution or recruitment setting. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to connect with diverse individuals and build relationships. Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. Proficient in using technology tools and software for data management, career counseling, and employer outreach. Knowledge of labor market trends, internship programs, and job placement strategies. Familiarity with legal and ethical guidelines related to internships, employment, and student confidentiality. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when needed.
