Designation : Design and Costing Engineer
Job Description : S.K. Weldedmesh Private Limited is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Design and Costing Engineer to join our team in Dalhousie, Kolkata. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing structural components, preparing cost estimates, and supporting project execution with precise technical analysis. Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed design drawings and technical specifications using AutoCAD. Prepare cost estimates, bills of materials, and project budgets. Analyze project requirements, drawings, and technical data to ensure cost-effective solutions. Collaborate with the project management team to optimize designs for efficiency and cost savings. Review and verify technical documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards. Assist in procurement by providing accurate material quantities and specifications. Support site engineers with technical queries related to design and costing. Monitor project costs, track variances, and suggest corrective actions as needed. Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification: B.Tech or Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in design, costing, or related roles, preferably in the construction or manufacturing sector. Skills Required: Proficiency in AutoCAD for technical drawing and design tasks. Strong knowledge of cost estimation techniques, material pricing, and project budgeting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Good communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. Attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy in cost calculations and technical drawings. Preferred Skills: Experience in structural design, welded mesh products, or construction-related industries. Knowledge of other design software (e.g., STAAD Pro, MS Excel for cost analysis) is a plus. Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects.
