Job Description : Job Description: Senior Accountant (Infrastructure Industry, Kolkata) We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in the Infrastructure industry. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Your expertise in accounting principles and regulations, along with your strong analytical skills, will contribute to the overall success of our organization. Location: Kolkata, India Industry: Infrastructure Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and records in compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Oversee the day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. Conduct monthly and annual closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data. Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance to management. Prepare and present financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and other financial analysis to support decision-making. Monitor and analyze financial transactions, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to internal controls. Manage the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and project management, to support financial planning and decision-making. Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting certification (e.g., CA, CPA) is preferred. Proven work experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role in the infrastructure or construction industry. Sound knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (including IND AS/IFRS). Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office, with advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and interact with stakeholders at all levels. Experience in tax planning and compliance is desirable. Knowledge of project accounting and cost control principles is an advantage. Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
