Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join our team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mechanical engineering, coupled with hands-on experience in industrial and project sales. This role demands expertise in government liaisoning, strategic business development, and maintaining robust connections within the steel industry. Key Responsibilities: Sales and Business Development: Identify and target potential clients in the industrial and steel sectors. Drive project sales and manage the sales cycle from lead generation to closure. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets. Government Liaisoning: Establish and maintain effective relationships with government officials and regulatory bodies. Ensure smooth handling of approvals, compliance, and project-related documentation. Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders. Act as a point of contact for technical and commercial discussions. Market Research and Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities. Provide insights for strategic decision-making and product positioning. Technical Expertise: Leverage engineering knowledge to propose tailored solutions to clients. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Eligibility Criteria: Education: B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial sales, with a strong focus on project sales. Industry Knowledge: Proven expertise in government liaisoning and regulatory processes. Established network and connections within the steel industry. Skills and Competencies: Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
