International Tour Consultant (Long-Haul)

About the role

Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic International Tour Consultant who has extensive knowledge in planning and organizing travel itineraries for long-haul destinations, including Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, The United States, Canada, European Destinations, Cruises, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Consulting and Advising:

   • Understand client preferences, interests, budgets, and specific travel requirements.
   • Provide expert advice on destinations, itineraries, travel options (flights, accommodations, transportation), and activities.

2. Itinerary Planning:

   • Design detailed, customized travel itineraries that match client interests and budget.
   • Suggest suitable tourist attractions, cultural experiences, dining options, and accommodations.

3. Booking and Reservations:

   • Make reservations for flights, hotels, rental cars, tours, and other travel services.
   • Ensure accuracy in bookings to meet client expectations and requirements.

4. Handling Logistics:

   • Manage visa applications, travel insurance, and ensure compliance with international travel regulations.
   • Assist with currency exchange and provide vital travel information such as local customs, weather conditions, and health advisories.

5. Customer Service:

   • Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after the trip.
   • Address client inquiries, resolve travel issues, and adjust itineraries as needed.

6. Knowledge of Destinations:

   • Stay updated on travel trends, emerging destinations, attractions, and local cultures to provide accurate and relevant information to clients.

7. Sales and Marketing:

   • Participate in promoting travel packages, negotiating with suppliers for competitive rates, and generating leads for potential clients.

8. Problem Solving:

   • Handle unexpected situations like flight cancellations, medical emergencies, or natural disasters, providing solutions and support to clients as needed.
