Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing company, with a proven track record as a Purchase Manager. Age limit: 30 - 50 years. Annual CTC (Cost to Company): 8 - 10 Lakhs per annum. Our procurement department plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Purchase Manager to join our team in Howrah, West Bengal, and contribute to our success. Position Overview: As a Purchase Manager at Shalimar Industries Ltd., you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our procurement activities. Your role will involve managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the availability of quality materials and supplies to support our manufacturing operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape our procurement strategies and drive cost-effective purchasing practices. Key Responsibilities: Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, evaluate vendor performance, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions. Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs while ensuring the timely availability of materials and supplies. Sourcing: Identify and qualify new suppliers, assess their capabilities, and expand the supplier base as needed. Cost Control: Monitor and control procurement costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that purchased materials and supplies meet quality standards. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to prevent overstock or shortages while minimizing carrying costs. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards in procurement activities. Team Management: Lead and mentor the procurement team, ensuring they work cohesively to achieve procurement objectives. Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement performance and key metrics to senior management. Qualifications: Graduate degree in any discipline. A degree in supply chain management or a related field is a plus. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing company, with at least 5 years in a Purchase Manager role. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and cost optimization strategies. Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management software. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing procurement activities. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
