We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Responsibilities: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and invoices. Processing and recording financial transactions in the accounting system. Preparing and maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Reconciling bank statements and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. Generating financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Conducting month-end and year-end closing activities, including the preparation of adjusting journal entries and financial statements. Monitoring and analyzing financial data to identify discrepancies or anomalies. Ensuring compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations. Assisting in the coordination and completion of external audits. Providing support during tax audits and assisting in the preparation of tax returns. Collaborating with other departments to gather financial information and resolve any accounting-related issues. Assisting in the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and processes. Keeping abreast of changes in accounting regulations and best practices. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations. Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of tax laws and regulations will be an added advantage.
