As a Billing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and timely billing documentation for road and highway construction projects. Your expertise in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and project management will contribute to the smooth financial operations of our organization. Location: Kolkata, India Industry: Civil Road and Highway Construction Responsibilities: Prepare and review billing documentation, including invoices, payment applications, and progress claims, in accordance with contractual terms and project specifications for road and highway construction projects. Conduct quantity take-offs, prepare quantity survey reports, and estimate the cost of materials, labor, and equipment for each project stage. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site personnel to gather accurate data on work progress, variations, and change orders specific to road and highway construction projects. Ensure timely and accurate submission of billing documents to clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Verify the accuracy of subcontractor/vendor invoices and supporting documentation related to road and highway construction activities. Maintain detailed records of project costs, variations, and change orders for cost control purposes in the road and highway construction sector. Monitor project budgets, compare actual costs against budgeted costs, and provide regular reports to management specific to road and highway construction projects. Assist in contract administration for road and highway construction projects, including reviewing contract terms and conditions, preparing contractual correspondence, and managing project documentation. Coordinate with internal teams, including finance and accounting, to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely payment collection for road and highway construction projects. Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to billing and quantity surveying in the road and highway construction sector. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Proven work experience as a Billing Engineer or Quantity Surveyor in the civil road and highway construction industry. Sound knowledge of billing procedures, quantity surveying techniques, and cost estimation methods specific to road and highway construction projects. Proficiency in using billing software and MS Office, particularly Excel. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in quantity take-offs, cost calculations, and document preparation specific to road and highway construction projects. Familiarity with road and highway construction contracts, project specifications, and relevant regulations. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines specific to road and highway construction projects. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with project stakeholders at all levels in the road and highway construction sector. Knowledge of project management principles and practices specific to road and highway construction projects is desirable.
