We are seeking a talented and creative Kidswear Designer to join our team and contribute to our growing portfolio in children’s fashion. Key Responsibilities As a Kidswear Designer, you will play a vital role in developing creative and commercially viable collections that resonate with our target market. Your responsibilities will include: Design Development: Conceptualizing and creating unique, trend-driven designs for kidswear collections. Developing design sketches, mood boards, and color palettes for seasonal collections. Ensuring designs meet brand standards and customer preferences. Market Research: Conducting thorough research on current trends, market demands, and competitor activities in kidswear fashion. Staying updated on global fashion trends to bring innovation and relevance to designs. Fabric and Material Selection: Collaborating with sourcing teams to select appropriate fabrics, trims, and accessories for kidswear. Ensuring materials align with the aesthetic, quality, and functional requirements for children’s apparel. Sampling and Production Coordination: Overseeing the development of design samples and ensuring timely completion. Working closely with production teams to translate designs into final products, maintaining quality and accuracy. Presentation and Collaboration: Presenting design ideas and concepts to management and buyers for approval. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and production, to ensure a cohesive product line. Quality Assurance: Ensuring all designs meet safety standards and are comfortable and durable for children. Eligibility Criteria Education: Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in kidswear design. Portfolio: Strong portfolio showcasing creative designs and prior work in kidswear. Desired Skills and Competencies Creative Vision: Strong design sensibility and ability to create innovative kidswear collections. Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CorelDRAW. Trend Awareness: In-depth knowledge of fashion trends, color palettes, and patterns specific to kidswear. Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality, functionality, and safety in design. Time Management: Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output. Team Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
