Job Description : Job Title: Store Officer (Civil Construction Company) Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Store Officer to join our civil construction company. As a Store Officer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's inventory, maintaining accurate stock records, and ensuring efficient operations of the store. Your role will be critical in ensuring that construction projects have the necessary materials and equipment readily available. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain inventory levels by conducting regular stock checks, monitoring consumption, and initiating replenishment orders as needed. Receive and inspect incoming materials, ensuring quality compliance and accurate documentation of goods received. Organize and maintain an efficient and well-structured store layout, including proper labeling, storage, and categorization of materials and equipment. Issue materials and equipment to various construction sites based on authorized requisitions, ensuring proper documentation and tracking of items. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement team to understand project requirements and ensure timely availability of required materials. Prepare and maintain accurate records of stock movements, including receipts, issues, returns, and transfers, using appropriate inventory management systems. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-time delivery of materials and resolve any issues related to quality, quantity, or discrepancies. Conduct regular stock audits to identify discrepancies, shrinkage, or obsolete items, and implement corrective measures as necessary. Monitor and control store expenses, ensuring cost-effective procurement practices and adherence to budgetary guidelines. Implement and enforce health and safety protocols within the store area to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications in inventory management will be an added advantage. Proven work experience as a Store Officer or similar role within the construction industry, preferably in civil construction. Solid understanding of store management principles, inventory control, and procurement processes. Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and relevant industry standards. Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office applications. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and vendors. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in a construction environment. Physical fitness to handle manual tasks and the ability to operate material handling equipment.
