Job Description :   Job Title: General Manager                                                    Reports to: CEO / Managing Director     Role   Responsible for operating the Hotel as an independent profitable unit. Will guide the team to attaining profitability coupled with new standards in guest contentment, international best practices and will be responsible for the overall management of Hotel’s staff and machines.   Pre-Requisite   Candidate must have exposure to pre opening stage in a hotel of star category.   Candidate must have work experience of 15-20 years and must be working as a GM in Hotel (inventory of 100+ rooms) for last 4-6years.   Place of Posting   The job location is based out of Puri (Orissa).   Essential Duties and Responsibilities   Area of Work Responsibility Results Required End to End Business Operations Will be responsible for smooth and gainful operations of the Hotel. Ensure that Hotel’s yield management system remains in green by aligning individual department’s functions in the most cost effective manner.   Strategizing and Planning   Responsible for devising the short and long term strategies for financial aspects and brand management. The hotel should turn to be a renowned brand in the market coupled with desirable and sustainable socio economic performance.   Maintain Product and Service Quality Standards   Responsible for absolute adherence to international standards of service by all the departments. Standardization and maintenance of services across all departments, human & machine resources performance at par with international standards.   Guest Satisfaction System   Devise, implement and run audit on various feedback mechanisms. Maintain highest standards of guest satisfaction; ensure courteous and prompt services across all functions.   Financial Reporting   Put to use, various financial tools to ensure correct and apposite financial data compilation and analysis. Ensure correct and timely prediction / analysis and corrective decisions basis the MIS.   Indenting and Inventory Control System   Optimize stocks and order process. Ensure at all times, hotel has adequate stocks Ensure that all operations run at optimized cost and Hotel does not over / under run the raw materials at any point of time. Effective and Open Channels of Communication   Maintain an open communication and feedback mechanism for guests and employees   A channelled medium is available to both guests and staff, for recording correcting and summarizing the grievances. Property Management Programs Will ensure smooth running of various Management systems i.e. Property Management System, Daily Revenue System, etc. Must ensure that all prevalent softwares / management tools are put to use to optimize the operational efficiency both in terms of cost and quality of deliverables. Manage Central Reservation System Responsible for putting to an effective use, the Central Reservation System. Analyze the data from Central Reservation System to visualize and steer the Hotel’s future strategies and operations.        Ancillary Facts             Academic Credentials   Degree in Hotel Management from a premier institute.   Gender   Male Age Between 45 – 50 years
